Severance Package Legal Review and Negotiation Strategy Consultation Service.
It is not uncommon for an employer to offer a severance package to an employee upon the employee’s termination. A severance package may include an offer of payment to the employee in exchange for a waiver of future legal claims the employee may potentially have against their employer. For instance, a severance agreement may provide that the employee must waive any and all discrimination or harassment claims against the employer in return for a lump sum of money. This practice is legal, but requires that the employee negotiate the terms of the severance agreement with their employer.
If your employer has offered you a severance package, or if you believe you may be terminated, do not hesitate to contact our office for assistance in this process. We will actively negotiate with your employer on your behalf to obtain the most favorable terms possible and ensure that your rights are protected.
